Our main mission is to create events that facilitate the success of our members. Already, through our actions and the support of many others, we have witnessed a shift in attitudes towards women in the workplace, whereby women representation is now recognised as one of the most important responsibilities of employers. However, there remains work to be done.

Each year we try to…

  • Host company presentations and networking events
  • Organise the Warwick Women’s Summit
  • Run CV and Cover Letter Clinics
  • Enhance the WoMentorship Scheme
  • Collaborate with other societies

This sessions gave our members the chance to talk to the staff at Accenture about their roles, responsibilities and the overall culture of the firm. It was a relaxed and fun setting to discuss career opportunities whilst learning a new skill.

Unilever kindly invited our members to visit their London office; an opportunity which allowed them to learn more about the firm and to take part in business cases.

  • EY – Mock Assessment Centre Workshop

EY hosted a workshop, exclusively for Warwick Women’s Careers Society members looking for a career in professional services. The workshop centred around advising our members on the tips and tricks to succeed at an assessment centre.

Alongside Warwick Women’s Careers Society’s aim of promoting career opportunities to its members, the society also tries to give back to charities that support our mandate of gender equality. Numerous fundraising events take place during the year, where the proceeds go to charities of our choice. In 2019, we organised a social event in association with the Coventry nightclub Kasbah, whereby all profit was given to Women For Women International.
